SCHÄFER Perforated Metal has once again extended its perforated sheet processing capabilities and bundled them in a metal working centre. At the company’s head office in Neunkirchen/Siegerland, investment has continued into new facilities and machines, which have now been put into operation.
Our investments have extended the kind of services we can offer in the field of machining perforated sheets. This enables SCHÄFER Perforated Metal to react to customer inquiries even more quickly and flexibly. With its wide spectrum of machine tools, SCHÄFER Perforated Metal can now fulfil their customers machining requirements from a single source. SCHÄFER’s team of experts can offer laser cutting, notching, straightening, punching, degreasing, deburring, bending, coating, anodising and, on request, various other processing techniques. This saves customers unnecessary investments and creates the scope for activities with a higher value creation. To enable customers to process perforated sheets quickly and smoothly, they have to meet specific requirements. The stainless steel perforated sheets for a screening plant in the food industry, for example, must be absolutely free of grease, while the façade plates for a new football stadium must be powder-coated in the club colours. The processed sheet solutions are then integrated precisely into the workflow of SCHÄFER customers.
In order to realise individual solutions, SCHÄFER Perforated Metal is happy to develop new possibilities for product design together with its customers, not only in its machining service, but also with regard to perforation patterns. Customers of SCHÄFER Perforated Metal can choose from a standard range of more than 400 different perforation patterns in round, square, hexagonal, slot and special customised perforations. The wide range of perforation patterns at SCHÄFER Perforated Metal extends not only to the perforation of coils, but also to blanks up to 1,500 millimetres wide and 6,000 millimetres long. Material thicknesses of 0.5 - 3 mm and weights of up to 20 tons can be processed. In addition to the steel, the range also includes perforated sheets made of aluminium and other non-ferrous metals. The direct link to the EMW Steel Service Centre and the large stock of input material, perforating from coil to coil has become the speciality of SCHÄFER Perforated Metal and is characterized by the highest standards in material availability, quality, flexibility and delivery speed. The great skill of the SCHÄFER toolmaking division is also a great advantage, as the tool technology determines both the quality of the perforations and the productivity of the production lines. However, it is also a prerequisite for the development of new perforation patterns and the realization of individual customer wishes.
