Façades in perforated metal

Thanks to an almost inexhaustible range of materials and perforation patterns, perforated metal façade panelling can fulfil two important architectural features at the same time: design and function.

Design
Whether eccentrically modern, unobtrusively cool or discreetly adapted to existing building styles – countless variations in perforation pattern enable highly sophisticated individual designs to be realised. From round to slot perforations, from square to special perforations – you can select your pattern!

Function
Perforated metal sheets are weather-resistant, very strong and have along service life. This makes perforated metal façades a construction component that is simultaneously strong and stylish, able to comfortably resist the elements and gale force winds. Noise protection is also frequently an issue in façades: perforated metal is both the carrier and the elegant covering for insulation material.

What should your perforated metal façade look like?

Applications in detail

Façades in perforated metal (8)

Material: Perforated aluminium sheet 3 mm – powder-coated
Perforation pattern: Round, staggered – R5 T10
Project: Triple-section sports hall, Herdorf
Cooperation: Fielitz GmbH, Goldbeck Ost GmbH

Design:

  • Lochblech, formed three-dimensionally, sandgold matt shiny
  • Façade creates a changing interplay of light and shadow – similar to a water wave
  • Light play influenced by the rhythm of sun, moon and stars, as well as the external lighting

Façades in perforated metal (1)

Material: Perforated aluminium sheet 2 mm – powder-coated
Perforation pattern: Round, staggered – R5 T8

Perforation pattern: Round, staggered – R8 T12
Project: Ecole des Métiers – Fribourg
Cooperation: TECmetall R. Blarer

Design:

  • Special perforated special trapezoidal sheets as façade panelling and sun protection
  • Trapezoidal perforated metal sheet provides an exciting façade design

Façades in perforated metal (3)

Material: Perforated aluminium sheet 2.5 mm – gold-coloured, anodised
Perforation pattern: Round, staggered – R5 T10
Project: Multi-storey car park façade in the Nuremberg “Nordostpark”
Cooperation: Fielitz GmbH, Goldbeck Ost GmbH

Design:

  • Corrugated perforated metal in wave design, gold-coloured, anodised
  • Car park façade alters it colour from gold to shimmering golden brown, depending on the time of day and light incidence
  • Spectacular wave-corrugated perforated metal, which simultaneously enables transverse ventilation

Façades in perforated metal (4)

Material: Perforated aluminium sheets 1.5 mm – anodised
Perforated pattern: Slot perforations, staggered – LR8 Z50
Project: GGA West
Cooperation: TECmetall R. Blarer

Design:

  • Trapezoidally corrugated perforated metal with special perforations for façade cladding
  • Shaped perforated metal sheets and aluminium surface provide a contrast to the large window areas
  • Perforated metal used partly as blinds, partly as sun protection

Façades in perforated metal (5)

Material: Perforated aluminium sheets 1.5 mm – anodised
Perforation pattern: Round, staggered – R3 T4
Project: Zürich International School – Adliswil
Cooperation: TECmetall R. Blarer

Design:

  • 51 % free area provides high translucence to support the design intention
  • Perforated metal design supports solid building architecture
  • Perforated metal used partly as blinds, partly as sun protection

Façades in perforated metal (6)

Material: Perforated aluminium sheets 2 mm – anodised
Perforation pattern: Round, staggered – R3 T5
Project: MZH Reiden
Cooperation: TECmetall R. Blarer

Design:

  • Strongly translucent façade made of perforated aluminium sheets.
  • Thanks to their translucence, perforated metal walls underline the open character of the multi-purpose hall and bring out the brightness of the yellow internal decoration
  • Perforated metal is used here a both as sun protection and blinds
